In April of 2018 I spent two weeks exploring the massive grey and smog polluted city of 21+ million people named Beijing. Riding the subway for hours on end documenting the lives of Beijingers and their culture. Running around the massive high rise apartment complexes which are rapidly replacing the old humble Hutongs. I introduce you to the mothers, daughters, fathers, sons, grandparents and other family members that make Beijing the city it is. From the textured decaying walls to the late night street food markets, Beijing is a city full of life. In no way have I have done any justice to documenting this city as a whole but I would like to present a very small part of what Beijing has to offer through the eyes of an outsider. With more than 100 black and white photographs and hand written texts including short stories and thoughts. I present you: “Two weeks in Beijing”.
